Historically, Dark & Light Blind Care aimed at helping blind / visually impaired people, but nowadays we work together with other organizations to promote the inclusion of persons with any kind of disability. Still, for 27 years now, Dark & Light Blind Care has the ability to provide eye care and other services, where others can not.

Themes
We support projects in the area of:

• prevention of blindness and eye care
• inclusive education
• rehabilitation
• vocational training and income generation
• food security
• HIV-Aids

Cross cutting themes are:

• Gender equality
• capacity building of local organisations
• Lobby and advocacy for the rights of disabled

What are our future goals?
Our main goal is to eliminate blindness as far as possible, and to help the blind/ visually impaired people in the world in the best way we can. We would like to double our activities in the next four years, because everywhere we go, we see more need for help.

Countries of operation
We support programs for people with a disability in Ethiopia, Sudan, Tanzania, Nigeria, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan.
