12-07-2010 | Request for funding

Dark & Light would like to get in touch with international funds, foundations or trust funds that are interested in funding a new project regarding mainstreaming disability in Africa.

The core focus of this action is to build the capacity of five non-state actors in five East African countries to promote and facilitate disability mainstreaming. During 36 months, the action strengthens the capacity of these organisations to provide advisory services, training and facilitation to state and non-state actors in such a way that they are able to effectively change their policies, organisation and development programmes and include persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Project title: Building Capacity for Disability Mainstreaming
Implementing countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda
Implementation partners: ECDD, TIE, UPHLS, CCBRT, ADD Uganda
Duration: 36 months

Please read the concept note for further details. If you would like to receive a full proposal, or if you are interested in (partly) funding this project, please send an e-mail to m.nederveen@darkandlight.org.
