Organisation mission statement
(1) To reduce the impact of blindness through rehabilitation; (2) To improve the visually impaired potency
through education and training; (3) To open up job opportunity for the visually impaired through job diversification
and job placement; (4) To develop necessary expertise and assistive devices through researches; (5) To build the
capacity of other service providers by disseminating expertise and distributing products; (6) To do advocacy in
order to encourage the realization of inclusive society that accommodates all kinds of differences

Targets Description

• 5 teachers/staff of 5 special libraries for the visually impaired receiving digital talking books are provided with
  digital talking book library administration training in 2010.
• 5 special libraries for the visually impaired receiving digital talking books are provided with 2 units of MP3
  player each in 2010.
• 5 special libraries for the visually impaired receiving digital talking books are provided with 1 unit of CD
  shelves in 2010.
• 5 special libraries for the visually impaired involved are visited once a year for monitoring and evaluation.
