Target group
Day Care (ages 3-5) pupils in Region III (approximately 150,000)
Project purpose
The project aims to institutionalize an eye screening program and set a referral system in Region III.
Targets Description
- 2,800 schools participated. (75%)
- 115,000 Students screened. (75%)
- 150 Day Care Students and 150 Community referral children provided with eyeglasses with a visual acuity
of 20/40 or worse.
- 50 Day Care Students and 20 Community Referral children checked by the ophthalmologist.
- 10 Day Care Students and 15 Community referral children provided eye surgery.
- 5 Students who needed low vision services.
- 5 Students referred in Special Education Center.
