Target group The target group includes all physically disabled children and adults in Izzi. People outside Izzi will be helped as they come, but they will not be visited at home.
Purpose 1.To improve educational opportunities of children with disabilities. 2.To improve economical independence of children with disabilities. 3.To integrate people with disabilities in society. 4.To advocate for people with disabilities at Government and community level.
Targets Description
- 23 admitted (physically) disabled children through weekly visits to mainstream primary and secondary schools
and discussion about their performance.
- 24 admitted children and supervision of performance through monthly visits to Special School for the Blind at
Iboko (15 pupils) and Special Secondary School for the Deaf at Enugu. (9 pupils)
- 20 local craftsmen get regular advice on vocational training of our clients and reassure the craftsmen in case of
difficulties. (e.g. sign language)
- 20 clients regularly supervised.(14 male and 6 female)
- 12 trainees provided with loans to trainees to start for themselves.
