Organisation mission statement The Kilimanjaro Centre for Community Ophthalmology (KCCO) is dedicated to the elimination of avoidable blindness through the integration of programmes, training, and research focusing on the delivery of sustainable and replicable community ophthalmology services.
Target group Programme managers and ophthalmologists who are involved in childhood blindness in Africa. National prevention of blindness committee members from selected countries in Africa.
Project purpose The overall goal of the project is to build the human capacity throughout Africa to better manage the eye care (including low vision and inclusive education) needs of children.
